PROCESS FOR AUDITIONS:
You will need to prepare the following:
- A piece of music of your choice that demonstrates your level
- A scale of your choice that is appropriate for your level
- The BRYO audition excerpts for your instrument/ensemble.

Videos: Please record your video audition on a phone or tablet and submit your virtual audition to our audition panel via YouTube link at the end of the application form. Please make sure you have this link ready before completing the online form.
Scherzo Strings is a training orchestra and will take applicants from AMEB standard 2 or equivalent.

Minimum level required for BRYJE (Brisbane Regional Youth Jazz Ensemble) is AMEB standard 4 or equivalent experience.
Includes: Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophones, Percussion etc.
To audition for BRYJE you must also be a playing member of the Symphony Orchestra. Those wishing to apply for BRYJE must audition for both Symphony and BRYJE to be considered. (Simply include your BRYJE audition in the same submission as your Symphony audition, only one audition fee needs to be purchased).
